With my photography, I focus on the “strange and wonderful” aspects. Inspired by films and other art, I create creative conceptual photographic work that explores genres within fantasy and horror. With the use of lighting, sets, mixed media and other editing assets in my work, I challenge my viewers to dive deeper into my work and wonder why I made the decisions I did when editing and creating my art. I value having "weird" art, to break out of the norm with portrait photography.

Eden Eden is a mixed media photography work where I explored the physical aspects of alteration on an image. With the creation of Eden, I explored more diverse lighting with a snoot light on a boom stand for the key light and a reflector fill light in the back to add the bulbous shape in the background as a fill light. My process with mixed media within this photo starts with digital editing for the basics, where I then print it, tear corners or add items and scan it back in, where I adjust it again.
Where the Wind Weeps With this work, I explored a messier editing style than I was used to. I layered on textures and painted colours into the work to create a melancholic feel to it. I was also inspired by tin-type photography, how the image morphs into its creation from a negative.
The Unhurt, Unstruck, and Unbeaten With the production of this work, I decided to cast six models, the highest number of models I have ever worked with. The exploration of creating an image where they are comfortable with each other and creating this image helped understand how I can, as a photographer, build an environment where my clients can be relaxed with me and the others they are working with. To create the otherworldly feeling, I decided to do a central light, a portal-like form that the models surround and engulf.
