Beck Irvine is a Calgary-based artist who works in a wide variety of mediums. His art practice draws attention to the complexity and diversity of queer culture by creating parallels between lived, first-hand experiences and the material characteristics of his mediums. Irvine’s art often uses subtle details to participate in critiquing heteronormative social structures and disrupt binary understandings of gender and sexuality.
